Using the Nikon Coolpix 990 with a Projected Image for the Partical Solar Eclipse

This was a quick setup to image the partical solar eclipse on July 30, 2000. It included projecting the solar image on white cardboard with an Aetna Coligon 400mm, f/6.3 camera lense and a 10mm eyepiece. WARNING NEVER REMOVE THE CARDBOARD AND LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN. YOUR EYE SIGHT WILL BE DAMAGED. The photos of the projected image were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 990 digital camera. In the below photo notice in the projected image the clouds covering the top part of the Sun where the partial solar eclipe was occuring.
