The group received the first introduction to the binocular telescope on April 6, 2002. John Mahony proceeded to show operation and construction of the scope for the group.
John shows the collimation screw location for the two mirrors.
Inter-ocular separation is set via the handle shown.
Movement of the scope seems quite smooth and relatively balanced…
At least as long as the vise grips are there for the counter-balance!
