Me
Equipment is limited by the observer so abit about me: I'm 21, a law student and started astronomy in early 1998, thanks to my friend Darren. 1st constellation: orion. I actually love looking at scorpius and orion naked eye, depending on which one is up in the sky.
Telescopes
50mm f12 Meade Refractor:
My 1st scope, made in Japan, about 20 years old when I got it Dec 17 1998. Mounted on a simple photo tripod (Slik U8000), it's small, but I got my first view of the moon's craters, Jupiter as a tiny disc with 4 moons, and Saturn's rings at 24x. I remember my friend An, wowing over Saturn, she said it looked like a toy hanging in front of the lens! Whole setup easily carried in 1 hand =)

6" f6 ATM Reflector (Parks mirrors):
Pete Rasmussen sold me this scope by an ATMer. Received on Dec 27 1999. A brief session of Saturn and Jupiter reminded my friend, Yiren, of his Astro-Physics 130EDF. That 1st session gave an unforgettable view of a creamy-yellow Saturn, Cassini in sharp contrast all-around at 235x.

Mounted on a GEM with a long pier. RA drive included.
