Welcome to the website of the Tri-City Astronomy Club of Southeastern Washington. The club is a non-profit organization for the enjoyment and advancement of amateur astronomy. Our members volunteer their time, equipment, and knowledge of astronomy to the school systems and general public of Benton-Franklin Counties.
We hold monthly star viewing sessions (Star Parties) at local schools and a local park monthly from March thru October. We also hold special viewing session, open to the public, at LIGO and at the Columbia Basin College Moore Observatory. The Blue Mountain Star Party is held annually near Ukiah, OR.
Look for 'Events Calendar' for the club's upcoming events. A map is also included. Our club meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Richland at 1322 Kimball Ave., with the meeting starting at 7:30 pm. Parking is at the rear of the church. Click Here for a Map.
Each month, we feature a guest speaker or topic (Check Prime Focus for specific details). You do not have to own a telescope to be a member, just have an interest in astronomy. For full membership, the dues are $30 yearly (includes the whole family). This also entitles you to receive a discount on subscriptions to either Sky & Telescope or Astronomy magazines, plus special purchases of some astronomy related books and software.
