Podcasts related to astronomy (amateur and professional) are starting to pop up more and more. This page provides links to some that NAA members have found interesting. And, remember, you don't need an iPod to listen to podcasts. Any MP3 player will work.
Podcasts:
- Adler Night and Day, a podcast produced by the Adler Planetarium and Museum in Chicago, IL.
- Astronomy a Go Go, a podcast that is generally oriented to the amateur astronomer and observing the night sky.
- Astronomy Cast, a weekly fact based journey through the cosmos hosted by Fraser Cain and Dr. Pamela Gay.
- Hubblesite - SkyWatch, astro-snacks, short (about 4 minutes long) podcasts originally aired on various NPR stations covering the science learned from the Hubble space telescope, NASA missions and more.
- Let's Talk Stars, a podcast hosted by renowned author and comet discoverer, David H. Levy.
- NASA Science News, this NASA site has podcasts of the articles published on the site.
- Slacker Astronomy, a humorous astronomy podcast.
- Universe Today, a podcast from Frazer Cain who also co-hosts Astronomy Cast (see above) but covers different topics.
