Jupiter Rotation Animation

This animation is comprised of 32 frames. Each frame is composed of 10 images averaged together to increase resolution.



Note the moon IO's shadow transiting the lower belt and the moon moving off to the right and Ganymeade entering from the left. The images were sharpened, cropped and registered in SBIG's CCDOPS. GIF Animator software was used for combining images into animation sequence. The start of the sequence was 9:15 pm September 14, 1998 and ended 4:45 am September 15, 1998
