It's time for IMPEACHMENT!

I simply cannot believe the criminality of this "president" and his administration. The lies and distortions are so rampant, you'd think we were in Germany in 1932. Below is a list of subjects on which the administration has been dead wrong at best and criminally negligent at worst. Each will eventually have a page (or ten) devoted to the subject. It's impossible to address all these issues at once, it just becomes too overwhelming, and my blood pressure goes so high I could explode. So, with a nod to my doctor, here goes.

As I look at the horror of the Bush administration, there are many, many things to be appalled at, but the one thing that disturbs me the most is this: On September 12, 2001, virtually the entire world was behind us. From Canada to Chile, France to Turkey, Russia to India and Morrocco to South Africa, nearly everyone was united in the revulsion of the acts of the previous day. I got chills when I heard The Star Spangled Banner played by our friends the British. There were pledges of assistance and volunteers to help find out who did it and bring them to justice world-wide. Together, we removed the taliban from power in Afghanistan, but utterly failed to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice. Instead of sealing him off in Tora Bora, we basically allowed him no choice but to flee to Pakistan through the hills while we flew his family to safety, even as thousands of flyers were stranded in airports across the country.

And then what? Did Bush use the newfound alliance to scour the hills between Afghanistan and Pakistan? No. Did Bush use it to set up financial traps world-wide? No. Did Bush take advantage in any way with the global unity he had in his hand? No. What he did was decide to invade Iraq.

George W. Bush squandered the greatest opportunity for global cooperation in history on a single cause to invade a country that was no threat to anyone, that had no means of attacking the U.S. and had done nothing to the U.S. except bloviate about how unfair our "no-fly zones" were.

Had George Bush any foresight at all, he may have taken the opportunity to purge the cause of the problem, as seen by the perpetrators. He could have used the global unity to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict once and for all. This would have stabilized the region for both sides and diffused tensions that are a root cause of conflict.

Instead...what a waste.
